Case Report: Coexistence of Behcet’s Disease and Graves’ Thyrotoxicosis
A case report of the rare coexistence of Behcet’s disease, a recurrent systemic vasculitic disorder, and Graves’ thyrotoxicosis, characterized by excessive production of thyroid hormones, in a 41-year old male was published in Oxford Medical Case Reports.
The patient presented with symptoms of arthralgia, rash, palpitations and weight loss and bloods tests showed raised inflammatory markers and biochemical evidence of severe autoimmune thyrotoxicosis.
