Evans Syndrome May be Associated with Underlying Hematological and Immunological Disorders

In this case report, a 60-year old man with Evans syndrome complicated by acute renal failure is presented. Evans syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system destroys the body’s red blood cells, platelets, and occasionally white blood cells. It is characterized by autoimmune hemolytic anemia and autoimmune thrombocytopenia.
