An attendee at DaVita Kidney Care’s annual Physician Leadership Meeting has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an article published by ProPublica.

The meeting took place March 5 and 6 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center near Washington, D.C.

ProPublica reported that an email was sent on March 16 to attendees informing them a person who attended the conference had tested positive. “It is possible that they may have been exposed prior to attending our meeting,” wrote Jeff Giullian in the email, according to the ProPublica article. The email went on to say that although the person was asymptomatic at the meeting they still wanted to notify other attendees.
