Dr. Kothari is a board-certified rheumatologist. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Chief Academic Officer, Chair, and Program Director at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 2020, he was named Governor of the American College of Physicians New Jersey Southern and a Board of Director for the Society of Bedside Medicine. He is a graduate of Mysore Medical College in India and completed his residency at St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Kothari has a long history as a leading educator. He directed the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Internal Medicine Residency Program for 17 years and has received numerous teaching awards, including the Edward J. III Outstanding Medical Education Award from the Excellence in Medicine Foundation and the Academic Award from the Middlesex County Medical Society.
